As part of Canadian Family Offices’ mission to provide readers with in-depth, relevant and timely content, the editorial team seeks to continually deepen our knowledge of and contacts within the family office ecosystem. To that end, the Canadian Family Offices Editorial Advisory Board comprises experts in the field who contribute their experience and perspective, both informally and in structured meetings, to improve our editorial offerings and provide informed feedback. Sam Reda, CFA®

Sam is a member of multiple boards and investment committees, and acts as a strategic advisor to several organizations. Sam sits on various boards, including both private companies and not-for-profit organizations, and serves on several investment committees representing both institutional investors and family offices. Notably, he is the Chair of the Investment Committee for the Concordia University Employee Pension Plan.

With over 40 years of experience in investment management, Sam has held senior leadership positions at prominent money managers, including as first vice-president and partner at TAL Global Asset Management, President and Chief Operating Officer at Natcan Investment Management, Executive Vice-President at Fiera Capital, and Chairman of the Board at Triasima Portfolio Management. He is the President of Maralex Capital Inc., a firm he founded in 2011 that provides strategic advisory services, and the co-founder of AlphaCCO.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is a CFA® charterholder. He has also completed the Directors Education Program, offered jointly by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Dan Riverso, CFA®

Dan is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Jesselton Capital Management Inc., where he brings 20 years of experience advising Canada’s wealthiest families. Dan specializes in portfolio construction, investment manager selection and multigenerational wealth strategy. 

Before Jesselton, he was co-founder and CIO of Continuum Private Wealth Partners Inc., a Toronto-based boutique family office. At Continuum, he led the firm’s investment function, overseeing portfolio management, building an institutional-grade database of investment managers, and developing a proprietary due diligence framework focused on long-term performance and alignment. Earlier in his career, Dan was Vice-President and Director of Research at I3 Advisors Inc. (later BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services Inc.), a multi-family office serving ultra-high-net-worth households. Dan is a CFA® charterholder.

Bill Healy, CFA®

Bill is an investment professional, corporate director and strategic advisor. He serves as an investment committee member for family offices, providing oversight on investment policy design, portfolio construction, asset allocation and manager selection. With over 35 years of experience in investment counselling and portfolio management, he has invested extensively in both public and private markets.

Bill has held senior roles throughout his career, including serving as a Senior Consultant at Prime Quadrant and as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Experience Officer at Portfolio HiWay. He also co-founded Patrimonica Asset Management Inc., the investment arm of a multi-family office based in Montreal, where he was President and Chief Investment Officer. Previously, he was Vice-President and Portfolio Managerat TAL Private Management Inc. and McLean Budden Ltd., managing portfolios for wealthy families, family offices, foundations, endowments and corporate pension plans.

Bill holds a BComm in Finance from Concordia University and an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London. He is a CFA® charterholder and has been actively involved with the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program at Concordia’s John Molson School of Business since its inception in 2000.
