Editorial

We adhere to standards of journalistic ethics and excellence.

Stories produced by the editorial department are independent and not influenced by the site’s membership or any business with a relationship with Members or Canadian Family Offices.

Canadian Family Office “Members” pay a monthly membership fee through which they may publish commercial content under the label “Member Content” and advertise on the Canadian Family Office Site.

Canadian Family Offices journalists make all reasonable efforts to provide accurate and balanced content, with direct quotes only edited for length and accuracy, and with attribution to sources of information.

To avoid conflicts of interest, journalists do not accept gifts beyond a nominal amount, or cover people or organizations with whom they have a commercial or close relationship.

Senior editors provide guidance in situations where doubt exists.

Commentary

Aside from stories assigned and produced by the editorial department, we also have content provided without remuneration by thought leaders in our Commentary section.

Member Content

Content that has been provided by, or overseen by, Members is labeled “Member Content” and did not involve the editorial team but rather Content Works, Postmedia’s commercial content division.
